Whatever your health goal is, weight loss, more energy, happy gut, glowing skin or simply feeling amazing, it is easy to be discouraged when you make changes but the results don’t happen straight away. I have been there many times!
But there is more to this story and your wellness journey than just what you eat and what excise you do.
There are three important areas that we need to focus on other than just the food we eat and the movement that we do.
Let me show you the magic areas if you feel stuck or frustrated.
- Taking positive action!
It seems simple, but this is not simple stuff, there is so much emotion and often years of the stories that we believe about ourselves.
If you ignore these mindset adjustments you can fall into a trap of yo-yo dieting and re-visiting unhelpful patterns. I know, because I have been there!
The sooner you take a deep breath, slow down, love yourself as you are right now and then focus on changed actions, that is when you will see change take place!

For today, let’s talk about patience. This is a hard one because it doesn’t always come naturally, especially in this modern world where more than ever we want everything NOW.
Patience is key!
I am one of the most impatient people there are in all areas of my life including weight loss. You know those memes that say ‘I ate a salad, why aren’t I skinny yet?’ They were created for me!
Every single body responds, adjustment and responds differently. There are hundreds of variables. Also as we get older the way our body responds is different now from when we were twenty or since we have had children, so we need to stop comparing ourselves with the past.
Remind yourself to focus and be patient. Stop making this a battle! That just adds more stress to your life. We are not battling to get weight off, gain energy or win at being healthy. These things will happen if you are taking the right actions consistently and you are patient.
