As summer approaches, so does hanging out at the beach, laying on the grass and going to the park with your family for long picnic lunches. It is so much fun just to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, food and a lovely time together.
I love spending the time chilling out while the kids play and have a ball as well.
When you think picnic, you may not think of healthy food options. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are so many great recipes that are perfect for picnics while keeping it delicious and healthy.
The main thing when you are heading out for a picnic is that the food is portable and of course tasty!

Instead of packing cheese and crackers that are brought from the supermarket, these delicious blinis are an amazing alternative. You can put any savory toppings that you like on these. Some great ideas are smoked salmon, vegetable dips, hummus, ham or salami or avocado salsa.
These meatballs are packed full of flavour and will be gone in no time at your picnic! You should double the batch because I am telling you that they will not last.
Need I say anymore! This pulled pork is so easy to make in the slow cooker and can be served in tacos. Perfect for a picnic! Take along containers of tomato salsa, avocado, lettuce and lime for everyone to make their own tacos.
These little jars of yum and so easy to make, so cute and perfect for occasions like picnics. It doesn’t take long to prepare these and they can be packed into single serving jars, setting the ton for the picnic.
