I was really happy to be asked to do this interview with Our Grand Tour because it wasn’t just about food but instead it was about being a Mother in Business. I am passionate about women in business just as much as I am about food!
Lots of you that read my blog probably don’t know that my day job is practicing as a Family Law Lawyer and that run my own law practice on the Gold Coast. Altogether there are six lawyers in the firm and one amazing receptionist, who holds it all together (as well as post Real Food Pledge books out to you all!) Yes she is pretty amazing. It is my job to make sure that everything runs smoothly at the firm and that our clients are being well look after in their time of great need.
I am also a mother of three and a wife and like lots of you whether you are working or not or have children or not, I am always trying to find balance in this very busy life. In this interview it was nice to share a little bit of this side of myself.
This was the introduction to the interview that Our Grand Tour wrote:
“I was introduced to Real Food Pledge by a friend, not because of Caralee, but because this friend knew I loved to cook and would love her wholesome recipes. As I began to delve into the website I came across Caralee’s back story and realised I was not just inspired by the recipes, I was inspired by the woman behind them. With an incredible following on her social media and website, a book included, all while practicing as a family lawyer, Caralee is raising three children, and is a dedicated wife. She is a testament to believing in your dream, knowing what you want, all while creating a lifestyle and family dynamic that suits you. When I proclaimed my adoration for Caralee, she simply said, “really I am just like all working mums, you just make it work” and we couldn’t agree more, so we asked her to tell us her story and let us in on how she makes it all work.”
